analysis of environment
Through preparation of understanding an issue and attacking it through means of computational development. A case study was developed through the project Cite de L'Ocean by Steven Holl-- who is considerably known for understanding not just the sight but a creation of symbolic form (take it as you wish, not all are on board with it's ideals in design). The in depth case study showed interesting relationships not just within surrounding context but geographies that extend beyond the realms of its site. A question arose-- what begins to happen if we use computational elements to analyze space from its geographical perspective all the way down to even programmatic organization?
